Do you Camino?

A Camino is an opportunity to discover something important about what lives deep inside ourselves. While there are other pilgrims, you walk alone and journey with others. Why you walk, is your personal response to the question: "Do You Camino"? We journey together, to encourage each other, to share the burdens, the joy, and the laughter. Come journey with us! We would enjoy the gift of you!

In keeping with the 1500-year Catholic Camino traditions and spirit, If so moved, daily Mass, confession, and rosary will be available for pilgrims as they make their Camino.

"Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect "   — Romans 12:2

We Camino!

For the past twenty years we have been leading one day Camino style pilgrimages across Maryland and Washington DC, for thousands of pilgrims, creating space in their daily lives to answer the very personal call of: Do you Camino? This summer inspired by so many very little things we ventured to inspire and launch what we hope to be a permanent Camino of Maryland pilgrims trail.

The Camino of Maryland

The Camino of Maryland is a 14-day pilgrimage that takes you on an unforgettable journey from Point Lookout, MD to the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, MD. This 218-mile trek takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Maryland, the nation’s capital, and exploring how Maryland's unique relationship with all faith traditions, particularly the Catholic faith tradition and education has come to help shape Maryland's culture. Our mission is to not only provide a unique experience of physical and spiritual growth, but to also foster an environment of friendship, understanding, and appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us.

The Route

This route developed organically from the friendships, relationships, and generous responses from the Catholic parishes and other religious sites along the route. It is their generosity in spirit and the historic cultural DNA of pilgrimages that garnered the enthusiastic embrace we received in purposing participation in the Camino of Maryland. It is through this generosity in opening up their grounds to our pilgrims we are able to journey together.

While there are many ways to join, participate, volunteer, and experience the Camino of Maryland we have curated several routes for achieving Camino recognition. Explore the many ways to participate below:
